Our congregation was formed as the result of a merger between St. Paul’s and Christ Lutheran church in 1973. We are a very diverse congregation with members from many walks of life and heritage. |

Saint Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church We at St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church believe that Jesus suffered and died on the cross and rose again, so we can live in joy with Him forever. Saint Matthew congregation was established in 1896 by a small group of such Slovak immigrants who came to work in the coal mines and settled in Wilkes-Barre and other nearby towns and settlements. |
