Cornerstone is a thriving congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America nestled in the expanding Milwaukee suburb of Delafield with a vision for impacting the western suburbs for Christ by calling them to Realize their need for Christ, to Respond to God's call in worship, and to Relate the message of the gospel by Reaching out to Others.

In several Biblical passages, such as Psalm 96:1, worshippers of God are told to worship Him in singing. Other passages, such as Psalm 150, command the use of instruments in the context of praising God in music. While music of a professional quality is not required to bring honor to God, Cornerstone's Ministry of Music seeks both to bring honor and glory to God by providing music to lead and guide the Cornerstone body in the worship of God. This takes place in the context of Sunday morning music teams who assist with corporate worship, special offerings of music, choirs, and other times when the provision of music will assist in Cornerstone's worship of our great and mighty God.

Music for worship on a Sunday morning is directed and led by a team of singers and musicians referred to simply as a music team. Several different music teams assist with worship on a rotating basis. In addition to ongoing music teams or choirs, Cornerstone's Ministry of Music also provides special music, such as string quartets, brass ensembles, solos, duets, or vocal ensembles. These examples of special music are used for postludes, preludes, preparation for a sermon, or calls to worship.
