We are a downtown church in an historic building, renovated in 1998 after a deliberate decision to remain in ministry in this location. We offer a full range of ministry: worship (traditional, blended, contemporary).

Music has been a vital element of worship at First United Methodist Church for many years. Adult choirs, a handbell choir, and children's choirs regularly participate in our Sunday morning worship services. We are fortunate to have a fine organist who leads our musical worship experience through service music and wonderful hymn accompaniments.

The Chancel Choir sings Sunday mornings at 9:00 or 10:30, September through May. On the second Sunday of December, the choir presents the sermon in song through an extended choral work.

Handbells
Tower Bells is made up of adults who perform using our five-octave set of handbells and the hand chimes. The handbells play at the 9:00 service once a month, October through May.



Spirit Movers
Spirit Movers provide music for Praise 'N Bread in the Dining Room on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month.




Children's Choirs
Pre-school children's choir (ages 3-6 yrs.) sings on three Sundays during the year.
