St. Matthias church building was consecrated by Bishop Kemper on June 28, 1855. That’s more than just a legacy; today we continue to share in the Spirit of God’s missionary presence and purpose in our world. As the Lord said to the people of Israel, so his word speaks to us today: "tell my people to go forward" (cf. Exodus 14:15b).

Music & Choir
The choir, director and parish musician inspire our songs and praises to the Lord. The choir accompanies the congregation from September – May. The music ministry of the choir utilizes a variety of musical styles. Our members continually identify a wide ranging music ministry as a strong and important part of our worship.
