Birch Creek Music Performance Center is a summer music school (academy) in Door County, Wisconsin, for advanced young musicians. With a performance emphasis, students are taught by nationally-known performance artists and educators during the day, and perform alongside them in concerts at night. Four sessions focus on symphony, percussion & steelpan, and big band jazz (2 sessions).
Over the course of the summer, 200 students and 100 faculty members study by day, and at night present 32 concerts in the 100-year-old, 500-seat renovated Dutton Concert Barn.
In addition, Birch Creek faculty and students perform a full range of public outreach concerts and other public events scheduled in and around the Door County peninsula. A complete schedule of these concerts and special events are available on our Web site.
