University Presbyterian Church - Seattle, Washington
University Presbyterian Church (UPC), was founded in 1908 near the University of Washington in Seattle. Today we are a church of more than 4,500 members offering multiple worship services, including Sunday morning and evening services, a Tuesday evening worship service for post-college adults, and a weekly service, The INN, for college-age individuals that draws over 1,100 students each week.
We have abundant opportunities for junior and senior high school students to grow in their faith and relationships with Jesus Christ, and hundreds of children participate in children's ministries both on Sundays and during the week.
Despite our size, UPC strives to make our big church feel smaller by providing people of all ages with classes, conferences and retreats; places to find community; caring ministries; small group opportunities; and ways to serve through mission and ministry.
Music is central to the worship life of UPC, and music is chosen to support and reflect the sermon theme and texts of the Sunday morning and evening worship services.
Our music ministry is comprised of a Cathedral Choir, Sunday Evening Worship Ensemble, Gospel Choir, Chamber Choir, Men's Chorus, Women's Chorus, a Brass Ensemble, an Orchestra and Praise Ringers.
