Sundays

8:00 AM – Eucharist (Rite II) with sermon, hymns with organ. Rite I is used on First Sundays.

10:00 AM – Eucharist (Rite II) with sermon, hymns with organ, choir music in the choir season, special music on many occasions, Olympia Sacred Jazz Ensemble on fifth Sundays, liturgical dance on occasion.

6:00 PM – Misa en Español - Eucharist and music in Spanish.

8:00 PM – Compline Service, the short, final monastic service of the day, sung and chanted by our Compline Choir, by candlelight in the darkened church.

Music at St. John’s:

Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir is open to singers from high school through adulthood. The choir presents a variety of liturgical music for the worship services, and provides musical leadership and support to the congregation of St. John’s. Choir

Compline Choir

Compline, the last of the daily monastic offices, is sung every Sunday night at St. John’s at 8:00 pm. The Compline Choir uses a historic setting of the Order of Compline that incorporates the mystical style of Gregorian Chant.

Olympia Sacred Jazz Ensemble

The Olympia Sacred Jazz Ensemble (OSJE) has been a very special blessing for us here at St. John’s. The OSJE is an important and unique part of worship. The ensemble frequently plays during mass

Each year St. John's hosts a Concert Series with a variety of musicians to hear, from a large choir to solo violinists. There are four to five concerts per season, which runs from September through June.

Our Compline Choir of women and men has released several CDs, you can order your copy from our web site or contact our church office.
