Bentwood Trail Presbyterian Church - Wichita Falls, Texas

Our church's purpose consists of sharing its vision to be exemplary followers of Jesus Christ by expanding, enhancing, equipping, and empowering each other in the mission of God in the world. The Gospel expresses this with two great mandates of Jesus.

Our Music Ministry
Music is one of the most vital ministries of this or any congregation, as it has the unique ability to inspire, challenge, excite, and touch people in extraordinary ways. It has an important and crucial role to play in the church's overall vision and ministry.

Summer Choir

The Summer Choir provides musical leadership during the 11:00 Service of Worship at Bentwood Trail during the Sanctuary Choir's summer holiday (generally July through the first two weeks in August).

Chancel Choir
The Chancel Choir provides musical leadership during the 10:50 a.m. Service of Worship at Bentwood Trail and also presents special programs during the Lent/Easter and Advent/Christmas seasons. Smaller ensembles from the Chancel Choir provide additional leadership during the 8:30 a.m. Service of Worship.

Handbell Choir
The Handbell Choir provides musical leadership once monthly during the 10:50 a.m. Service of Worship at Bentwood Trail and, like the Chancel Choir, also presents special programs during the Lent/Easter and Advent/Christmas seasons.

Men's and Ladies' Ensembles
These groups provide musical leadership at selected times during the year.

Children's Choirs

The Children's Choirs participate in worship at selected times during the year through the various children's and youth programming available at Bentwood Trail.

The Sanctuary Pipe Organ
Bentwood Trail is proud to announce the installation of its new sanctuary pipe organ, early in 2004. Built by Garland Pipe Organs of Ft. Worth, Texas, this one-of-a-kind musical work of art is housed in a cherry and oak case measuring 22 feet in width and soars above the chancel at over 27 feet. It contains 3000 pipes ranging in size from those as small as a pencil to over 16 feet in length. Controlled by a handsome four-manual Aeolian-Skinner console, the instrument speaks with a warm accent, producing sounds as quiet as a whisper to those with a mighty, earth-moving roar.

The pipe organ has led God's faithful people in worship for centuries. Some have called it the Vox Dei, the voice of God, and others (such as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart) the King of Instruments. Bentwood Trail's new pipe organ continues this proud tradition as it assists us in fulfilling our Scriptural charge to... praise Him.

Join us for worship or any of our activities at BTPC (check out our online calendar). This may be the church home that you are looking for—or that you need, whether you knew you were looking or not!
