St. Mark's is a church with vibrant programs, meaningful worship and attentive care for people of all ages. We serve as an after-school resource, with mentoring and enriching programs, serving an ethnically and economically diverse community.
St. Mark's is a scripture-grounded community, committed to bringing all people to a transformational relationship with Christ. Every member is equipped, ordained and empowered for ministry in daily life; is biblically literate; and practices mutual accountability. St. Mark's is a spiritual resource for the city, the broader church and our society.
The Parish Choir of St. Mark's, consisting of about 40 women and men, sings during the 11:00 a.m. service each Sunday. The choir, in addition to its Sunday morning duties, regularly presents Evensongs and a major choral work with orchestra each April.
The Youth Choir is a dedicated group of about a dozen young people who love to sing. While we may seem like a small group, we have a big sound and often sing in 4-parts.
In the tradition of the churches of England, St. Mark's Boy & Girl Choir is a highly committed group that provides all the music at the 8:45am Worship Service every Sunday throughout the school year.
Our Cherub Choir (Age 4-1st Grade)was created so that young children would be able to share in Christian musical experiences.
You can listen to selections of our choir's music on the Music section of our web site.
After much anticipation, on March 14, 2007 installation of the brand new organ console was completed. Kegg Pipe Organ Builders of Hartville, OH has manufactured this "very" custom designed console.
The console is itself a work of art, completely hand made from solid walnut consisting of over 3,100 pipes ranging from those the size of a pencil to those over 16’ tall.
Through our web site you can listen to our sermons, load them on your MP3 player/iPod or burn to CD and listen whenever you desire.
We invite you to either join us in person or visit our web site, which was designed to help people know about the mission and ministry of this historic parish. As you explore our church, you will find a parish that is diverse and welcomes all people.
