Different worship services are offered at Christ the King. Our Saturday evening worship is a simple, meditative worship using the liturgy of the Taize community. The earlier worship on Sunday often uses the contemporary musical settings of the liturgy, while the later service on Sunday is a traditional service with organ accompaniment. Once a month, usually on the evening of the first Sunday, we worship in the German language.

To identify and pursue new opportunities for all members of the congregation to participate in the global mission of the Church, with special emphasis on integrating the youth into the body of members who provide leadership in service and care ministries.

We resolve to To employ new resources to diversify and enrich worship styles and opportunities, especially by using Evangelical Lutheran Worship and incorporating more contemporary musical and liturgical settings into the 8:30 a.m. service.

The Lutheran musical tradition is a great treasure. Luther himself was a musician; he taught that "next to the word of God, it is music which deserves the highest praise." The Reformation spread on wings of song due to the outpouring of musical creativity which it spawned. In a single generation thousands of hymns (called chorales) were composed, which became the foundation stones of a remarkable musical culture spanning two centuries.
