Worship is at the heart of all we do at First Church. Our primary reason for gathering is to worship God, but the work of the church does not stop there. We make and share lasting friendships.

Sermons by our pastors are Biblically centered, seeking to inspire, uplift, inform and challenge us to be good stewards of both the mysteries and the gifts of God. Special attention is given to making sermons relevant to the world in which we live.

Our music program is rich and varied, including offerings by adult choirs, instrumental ensembles, and occasional music by children's choirs, youth choirs, handbell choirs, and orchestral accompaniments.

Choirs at First United Methodist Church

Sanctuary Choir - Provides musical leadership for 11:00 A.M. Sanctuary Worship.

Sanctuary Summer Choir - Provides musical leadership (July and August) for 11:00 a.m.

Festival Bells (Youth and Children) - Ring in Chapel and Sanctuary Worship 3-4 times a semester.

Sanctuary Bells (College and Adult) - Ring in Chapel and Sanctuary Worship when scheduled.

Choristers (Grades 1-5) -The children's choir performs once a month throughout the fall and spring. Special performances occur during the Christmas season, and a fully staged musical is presented in May.
