Visiting a new church can be overwhelming. At West Jackson Baptist Church, we strive to make you feel like family the moment you walk through the doors. Don't be surprised if a complete stranger welcomes you like an old friend.
We have two worship services: the Contemporary Service and the Classic Service. The Contemporary Service begins on Sundays at 9:00 a.m. This service provides a more relaxed atmosphere and a praise team & worship band. The Classic Service begins on Sundays at 10:20 a.m. This service is more traditional with a full choir, orchestra, and hymns. We also have a Sunday Evening worship service at 6:00 p.m. and a Wednesday night worship service at 6:45 p.m.
Music is a gift of the HEART. From the earliest days of our childhood we feel the rhythm of music within us and as we grow we develop in both our enjoyment and our expression of music. There are so many different styles of music to experience and communicate our feelings. Because God has given us music as such a wonderful gift, West Jackson Baptist Church seeks to use music as a tool to draw people closer to Him.
