What is our church’s goal and defining purpose?

To Know God and Make Him Known. We do that by “Loving God, Loving others and Serving the World…”

The Worship Ministry of Southside Baptist exists for the purpose of equipping the church to love and adore God, its Creator, by setting their mind's attention and heart's affection on God Himself. This is done through singing of songs, reading of scripture, prayer and other elements.

Celebration Choir assists the leading of the congregation into the presence of God through leading corporate worship and the use of special music.

Praise Band is a talented group of musicians who have a passion for playing and have decided to use their talents to praise God. They play a vital role in Sunday morning worship.

Praise Team members assist in the leading of worship in both morning services.

Preschool Choir is for ages 2 through kindergarten. They have many opportunities throughout the year to share the love of Christ. One of the highlights is the annual "Family Night in Bethlehem" production.

Children's Choir is for 1st-6th grade. They are taught what it means to praise God through various singing opportunities throughout the year. The highlight of the year is their spring musical.

Southside Baptist is an exciting place to be and to belong. This congregation has served Florence and the surrounding areas since 1950. We are rich in our heritage but relevant for today.
