Holy Trinity is a Eucharist-centered parish. Within the Episcopal Church, it would be considered in the middle-church tradition. The Church’s long tradition of excellence in preaching and music continues to be important in this congregation’s spiritual life. Maximum participation in the rites and ceremonies of the Church is encouraged, and lay members carry out many ministries within this context. Come and join us!

The Church of the Holy Trinity Rittenhouse Square is a key parish in Center City owing to its Rittenhouse Square location and the ministry it offers in the community. Its diverse congregation incorporates people of all ages and lifestyles and welcomes all to worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. All are welcome to come to the Lord’s table.

Our Music
Choir
Many parishioners cite the music at CHT as a beautiful, accessible and meaningful part of worship here. The choir, which includes professional and amateur vocalists, sings at the 11:00 a.m. service every Sunday.

Our Organ
The organ was originally a Roosevelt Organ, which was installed in 1880. In 1960, the Roosevelt Organ was replaced with a Moller Organ. However, some of the pieces of the original Roosevelt are still part of the organ you hear today.

Our Carillon
The oldest manually played Carillon in North America. This was a gift in 1882 from Mr. Joseph Temple, a Quaker Dry Goods Merchant, in memory of his wife Martha Anna Kirkley Temple. The bells were cast at the celebrated foundry of Severin Van Aerschodt in Louvain, Beligum and arrived in Philadelphia on the 18th of July in 1882. The Carillon was restored in 2001 thanks to a generous gift from a parishioner and was rededicated on April 29, 2001.
