On the first Sunday of the month, the liturgy is from With One Voice. The Saturday evening service in the chapel includes a celebration of Holy Communion.
St. John's Lutheran Church continues a strong musical tradition in worship. The Pipe Organ is one of the largest organs in Erie. The organ features an Echo Chamber over the sanctuary balcony, a unique feature and rare in the United States. In 2001, the organ received many improvements including a new console, electronics, MIDI, and new stops thanks to the Martin Memorial Fund.
The Senior Choir sings at 10:30 AM Worship.
The Children's Choir sings on Festival Sundays and special occasions such as Reformation Sunday, Easter, and Pentecost Sunday.
The Hand Bell Choir, also adds special music regularly.
