We are an Episcopal congregation with a wider cathedral ministry in the Diocese and the community. We try our best to be centered in Jesus Christ, especially in the Holy Eucharist and through the Anglican heritage of worship and music.

We take great care to give God our best, using traditional ceremony, the finest music, serious prayer, and thoughtful biblical preaching. There is a definite “cathedral style” of worship and music which we practice. The Cathedral Choirs strive to provide meaningful music of the highest quality for our worshiping community.

Worship is at the center of what we do as a community and music offered to the glory of God is an integral part of our worship. The Cathedral of St. Paul is committed to continuing the rich heritage of the Anglican choral tradition including music drawn from many centuries and musical styles. We also see our music program as part of our outreach. The broader community is invited to hear our choirs sing concerts and services outside on Sunday morning, touching the lives and hearts of many beyond our own congregation. Our Children’s Choir program draws singers from other churches that are able to participate in our choir program while maintaining their own church affiliation.

The Cathedral Choir is a group of mixed adult singers who sing each Sunday morning at the 10:30 AM liturgy from September through mid-June. They also sing Choral Evensong, concerts and services of Lessons and Carols throughout the year.

The Cathedral Children’s Choir is a treble choir of boys and girls. The choir is structured on the principles of The Royal School of Church Music and has become the premiere choir of young voices in the region. In addition to singing services at the Cathedral they are in great demand in the community. They sing annually with the Erie Chamber Orchestra and the Lake Erie Ballet. They have also appeared with the Erie Philharmonic Orchestra and the Erie Opera Company. They have traveled and sung in Toronto, Ottawa, Baltimore, Washington, D.C., Pittsburgh and Chicago.

The Cathedral Handbell Ringers is a group of adults and youth who ring in worship about 6 times per year.
