MCCLV has become a major force in the Lehigh Valley for the GLBT community and its allies. MCCLV provides a safe place for worship, offers outreach and education to the general public, and works to promote equality among all people.

For several years, MCCLV has participated in such events as Lehigh Valley Pride and National Freedom to Marry Day. In 2001, the church held an interfaith service to celebrate National Freedom to Marry and 130 people attended. The church continued to hold the service every year as more and more people and organizations participated. The event now gains televised news coverage and includes courthouse action.

In the beginning of 2008, MCCLV was fortunate to relocate to the Silkwerks building in Allentown, giving the congregation much needed space for meetings, and a more versatile and appealing sanctuary. The ministries of MCCLV continue to grow, as does the membership and unity of the congregation.
