Worship Opportunities
Sanctuary
The 8:30 & 10:55 am sanctuary services are traditional services of worship, which incorporate hymn singing, scripture and sermon as well as music provided by our adult, youth and children's choirs. Dynamic preaching by our ministers, stirring music by our choirs, and frequent special instrumental music make these the central part of our worship as a congregation. Sound amplifiers as well as large print bulletins and hymnals are available from

LifeLine
Come visit the LifeLine worship service Sunday at 10:55 a.m. in Fenn Hall. Families and people of all ages enjoy the fun and comfortable atmosphere they find at LifeLine. Noack Organ
The magnificent Noack Organ was built by the Noack Organ Company in Georgetown, MA, and installed in the summer of 1988. It is the firm's Opus 110 and at 50 stops, its largest. The existing organ chamber and facade were incorporated into the design of the new organ. The front pipes are speaking pipes of 70% tin alloy. Decorative embossing of some pipes and gold-leafing of the mouths add a festive touch. Within the acoustically near perfect chamber, the organ is arranged in the classical manner with the manual divisions stacked atop each other and the Pedal on both sides. The manual divisions--Choir, Swell and Great, in ascending order--are built into a wooden organ case that aids in blending and focusing of the sound. The 3330 pipes of the organ are mostly made from tin/lead alloy. The two largest wooden ranks, the 32' Bourdon and the 16' Open Bass, are recycled material from a 1889 Hutchings rebuilding job and the church's former Hilgreen-Lane organ, respectively.

Slider windchests and mechanical key action were used. The stop action is electric and incorporates an 8-level combination action. The choice of these action types was made to give the player the best possible control over articulation and pipe speech on the one and registration on the other.

In addition to providing opportunities for service, leadership, performance and developing musicianship, music at McFarlin also includes a calendar of concerts and special musical events.
