Westminster is located in Downtown Dayton on the south side of First Street, between Wilkinson and Perry Streets.
Dayton's first church was organized in 1799 by Washington Presbytery of the Synod of Kentucky and named First Presbyterian Church. Worshiping in a small log cabin in the heart of what would later become the downtown, the congregation began with ten people. From September of 1999 through May of 2000, Westminster celebrated the 200th birthday of Dayton's first church.
