While Saint Peter is one of the oldest parishes in the city, it is at the same time one of the newest. Since the mid-1980's, the parish has experienced a gradual re-birth and an exciting and dynamic restructuring of its mission and ministry. Through its 150 year history, Saint Peter Church has been a strong and vibrant presence in the city during times of prosperity and growth and equally during periods of need and decline.
The choir of Saint Peter Church is made up of volunteer members who share a unity of vision and purpose: to serve the ritual action of the liturgy, that all parishioners may be led to the transforming love of God.
Artists in residence at Saint Peter Church, PANORAMICOS is a chamber ensemble featuring flute, oboe, harp, strings, piano and voice. Selections will range from classical to contemporary, with new works commissioned especially for the group.
The internationally recognized Summit Children’s Choir performs works of the Advent and Christmas seasons, including many Commissioned especially for the choir. The purity of children’s voices mix with the superb acoustics of Saint Peter Church to provide an evening of serenity in the midst of the holiday bustle.
