Church of the Lakes - Canton, Ohio
Church of the Lakes strives to be "Christ’s Light for All." We are a diverse and growing United Methodist congregation serving the Jackson Township area of Canton, Ohio io. Founded in 1956, we now have more than 1000 adult members. On Sundays, over 700 people gather at our three services for praise and celebration.
Our Music Ministry
Church of the Lakes offers a variety of music ministries for both adults and youth. This includes the Adult Chancel and Sanctuary Choirs, several youth choirs, hand bells and instrumental groups.
Adult Chancel Choir - This 60 voice choir, which has toured Europe, helps lead worship at our 11:00am Sunday service. The choir performs a wonderful mixture of classical, contemporary and spiritual compositions.

Sanctuary Choir - This 30 voice choir sings at the 8:30am Sunday worship service.
Children’s Chorus:
Cherub Choir - This choir for our 3-6 year olds helps introduce them to singing in worship.
Wesley Choir - This choir is designed for first to fourth graders. They perform several times throughout the year.
Lakeshore Choir - This choir is designed for fifth to eighth graders. They perform several times throughout the year.Handbells & Instrumental
Joy Ringers - This ensemble of four ringers shows off their ability to ring 4-in-hand. They ring occasionally for worship, but also perform for area organizations, weddings and parties.
Bells of the Lakes - This outstanding group of musicians play 4 1/2 octaves of Malmark hand bells. They play regularly throughout the year as well as at area festivals, weddings and events.
Youth Bells - This group consists of 6th through 12th graders who perform a number of times throughout the year.
Children's Chimes - This beginning group of children ringers (3rd-7th grade) play our three octave set of Malmark choir chimes. They play occasionally throughout the year as prepared.
Brass Ensemble - This group is made up of musicians playing the traditional brass instruments.
Dixieland Jazz Band - This group adds a jazz flavor to our music here at Church of the Lakes. They play regularly for organizations and nursing homes.
