McCabe United Methodist Church - Bismarck, North Dakota
United Methodists are a mixed bunch-politically and theologically. McCabe is no exception, however, we hold strong ties to one another. We share a commitment to Scriptural holiness lived out through Christian works, as modeled by John Wesley.
McCabe Church owns a magnificent facility. The original sanctuary, fellowship hall and education wing were built in 1957. An addition including music wing, Great Hall, youth area (with gymnasium) and office suite were finished in the Fall of 2005. We firmly believe that this facility is not a trophy, but a tool for ministry and a gift we offer to the community.
McCabe offers three worship services each week (a fourth service is added during Lent-Wednesdays at 7:00 PM) The 10:30 Sunday worship services is our largest (approximately 300). The service includes a 50 member choir. Various groups and soloists share at all worship services. Those familiar with Methodist worship will feel right at home. We sing from both the United Methodist Hymnal and The Faith We Sing.
The church gathers at 8:00 and 10:30 AM for worship. Sunday school meets at 9:15 AM (Sunday school classes are offered for ages 2 to 120, with nursery for the under 2 crowd). Saturday worship starts at 5:00 PM and favors the Faith We Sing for music. Nursery care is provided at all worship services.
Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend the 10:30 worship service moves to 9:45. Sunday school does not meet either. Our Christian Education Team does provide Sunday School in a bag for each week. The bags contain fun activities and Bible lessons for the youth.
