Mission Statement

The Church of the Blessed Sacrament is a diverse Roman Catholic community, serving the Monroe and Park Avenue neighborhoods and beyond since 1901. The People of Blessed Sacrament seek to provide a welcoming environment for spiritual growth, service for those in need, and prophetic witness to the gospel in faithfulness to Jesus Christ as we move from the table to the world.

Our Music Ministry • Traditional choir that sings at the 10:00 Sunday Mass • Contemporary ensemble that sings at the 12:15 Sunday Mass • A volunteer cantor program that supports the singing at all Sunday Masses • Children’s choir that sings several times during the year • Instrumentalists that play on an “as needed” basis

We strive to lead the congregation in prayer and worship through music and singing. For the glory and praise of God, we blend our individual gifts of music for the benefit of all in the congregation. We carefully select songs that reflect on the Readings and the season. We believe music should assist folks in expressing and sharing the gift of faith.
