Since 1716, The Reformed Church has been a gathering place for worship, support, growth and service in Poughkeepsie. Here you will find a warm and encouraging spirit in which to seek and find God's love, strength and guidance. Our church family is made up of men and women from many different Christian backgrounds, but they serve One Lord, rejoicing in the faith they share in Jesus Christ.

Making Music To The Lord

The church is blessed with a rich musical heritage. Our church's Organist and Choirmaster has lifted up our weekly worship and special services spiritually and musically for almost two decades.

The Chancel Choir
The Chancel Choir provides a musical setting which expresses our praise and encourages our devotion to the Lord in worship. The choir sings music from a broad range of periods and styles, classical to contemporary.

Our Pipe Organ
A contemporary, eclectic American pipe organ by Schantz of Ohio was installed in October 2003. It has already established itself as one of the finest organs in the Hudson Valley. The 45 ranks of pipes -- 2,652 total -- provide a superb variety of sound, greatly enhancing worship, from hushed tones of reverence and awe to majestic peals of praise and exaltation.

The "Tower Music Series" Program
Our "Tower Music Series" featuring local and regional artists and musical groups of many different types and styles to introduce our community to the diversity of the musical arts. We have been blessed with the opportunity to showcase renowned regional artists and groups through the Tower Music Series. Previous concerts in the Series have showcased music ranging from baroque to classical to barbershop.
