The Church of Saint Rocco is a Roman Catholic Church situated in the City of Glen Cove, on Long Island, in New York, USA.
The church is unique for in addition to serving its local congregation, as a recognized Italian parish, the Church of Saint Rocco can administer to all parishioners of Italian decent within the entire diocese.
The beautiful church building was patterned after a church located in Sturno, Italy. Sturno is a town in the province of Avellino from which many residents of Glen Cove or their descendents emigrated.
The Music Ministry of the Church of St. Rocco serves the parishioners in both English and Italian.
Our music director has developed and sustained 5 choirs, trained 10 cantors (English and Italian,) and instrumentalists for the Children's Choir and Italian Mass.
The Music of St. Rocco Concert Series was established in August 2005.We host 6 concerts throughout the Fall and Spring. presenting a variety of classical and lighter music in the way of opera, orchestral, choral, vocal trios and string chamber music.
