St. John's strives to be a community of Christians growing in faith through the Holy Spirit- who love and worship the Lord, who love, support, affirm, and care for each other - who reach out to others in the world to manifest God's love so that all live in unity with God and each other in Jesus Christ.

Music at St. John's is an important component of our parish life. Our choirs complement and encourage congregational participation. We sing a balanced variety of musical styles from the rich repertoire of liturgical music.

The Adult Choir sings every Sunday at the 10:30 service from September to June. They usually sing at a few special services as well, including a joint evensong service with other area choirs.

The Youth Choir, children ages 6 through teens, sings at services once a month during the school year.

The Handbell Choir, people of all ages, rings at one Sunday service a month during the school year and during special Christmas and Lenten services.

We are very conscious that the opportunity to offer hospitality and welcome comes almost every week. Those who have learned to embrace this opportunity discover St. John's and Ithaca to be a stimulating and fascinating place they will never forget.
