Music at St. James'
To the glory of God and to enrich our worship experience, we have long enjoyed an excellent music program. Our organ and choirs are complemented by instrumentalists drawn from our parish and region. Our 1927, three-manual, Skinner pipe organ has just received a new façade of pipes and is in excellent voice for organist Bruce Osborne. Over the church year, our congregation also enjoys the music of acoustic and electric guitars, string quartets, drums, congas, harps, cellos, violins, flutes and brass ensembles.
Chancel ChoirOur Chancel Choir sings for Sunday morning’s third service, at 10:30 a.m., from September to June. In addition, they sing for Advent, Holy Week and Easter services.
The Band
Our 9 o'clock 'come as you are' service features both acoustic and electric music of worship and praise.Chapel Choir is comprised of young singers from the 3rd grade & up.
Bell Choir
We have a beautiful set of bells that play periodically in our services.
