We are a conservative Southern Baptist community of believers desiring to minister to Cobb County for Jesus Christ. We focus on worshipping our Savior, learning how to live God-honoring lives, and spreading the Good News of salvation to those around us.
Our Sunday morning worship services offer different styles of worship featuring relevant, expository preaching and the teaching.
Worship Experiences at 9:30am and 11:00am: The 9:30am worship experience will feature classic expository preaching, inspirational choir and orchestra anthems, hymns, choruses, and personal testimonies. The 11:00am worship experience will feature relevant topical preaching, creative use of technology and drama, an innovative worship approach using praise bands, praise vocal teams and personal testimonies.Sunday evening Worship at 6:00pm: Each week at 6:00pm the Roswell Street Baptist Church family gathers to share an exciting worship experience featuring relevant Biblical messages, hymns and choruses, a variety of choral and musical ensembles, worship teams, dramas and special events.
Music & Worship Ministry
Adult Choir: This large vocal ensemble provides musical worship leadership through calls to worship, anthems and congregational singing weekly in the 9:30 am traditional/blended worship service. We also sing the last Sunday of the month in the 6:00 pm worship service. The Adult Choir teams up with the Orchestra seasonally for Christmas, Easter and July 4th presentations.
Orchestra: supplies instrumental selections, accompanies congregational singing, accompanies the Adult Choir and other special music groups regularly in the 9:30 am traditional/blended service each week. This instrumental ensemble teams up with the Adult Choir seasonally for special musical presentations and worship services. The Orchestra will also play “gigs” in the community from time to time in an effort to reach out to our community.
Praise Band/Vocal Team/Horn Line: This group leads worship in the 11:00 am contemporary service each week.
Middle School Choir: Comprised of 5th-8th graders, this group sings regularly in 6:00 pm Sunday worship services throughout the fall. We’ll also participate with Christmas music in December.
High School Choir: Comprised of 9th-12th graders, this group sings sing regularly in 6:00 pm Sunday worship services throughout the spring. We’ll also do an end-of-semester musical presentation.
Senior Adult Choir: Comprised of senior adults of all ages, they sing regularly in area nursing facilities, in worship, at the monthly Sonshiners meeting and in the Wednesday afternoon Bible Study in the Vision Center.
Children’s Choir: a group of children who have just completed kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, 3rd grade or 4th grade. These children present a musical on a Sunday evening at the end of the summer each year.
