First Baptist Church is a church dedicated to reaching our local community, state, nation, and world for Christ.
Our church body is continually striving to make you feel welcome here is Las Cruces, New Mexico. We are a church that is continually seeking the Lord's guidance in all we do and strive for.Words of praise and worship fill the Scriptures, and it is our responsibility and privilege to worship our great God through music. Our worship ministry exist to lead people of all ages to grow in the knowledge of who God is, to discover what He has done to redeem us, to lead them to personally encounter His Holiness, and to offer back to God our lives in worship to Him.
Our Sanctuary Choir provides ministry for the 11am Traditional Worship Service. The choir is made up of voices ranging in age from young adult to senior adult. The choir is active in leading in worship services as well as presenting special seasonal musical presentations throughout the year. The choir uses a variety of musical styles as they lead in worship each week.
The Senior Celebration Choir is an active part of our Senior Adult Ministry. They periodically sing in the worship services, at statewide meetings, weddings, community activities, nursing homes, in other churches and is featured in the annual Living Christmas Tree Concert.
The Praise Team, a contemporary styled, ensemble sized, group providing vocal and instrumental ministry for the 8am Blended Worship Service.
The 9:30am Contemporary Worship Service is lead by Praise Band featuring singers, electric and acoustic guitars, bass guitar, drums, keyboard, and other featured instruments.
The Youth Choir presents one musical each year, periodically sing in the Worship Services, and is featured in the annual Living Christmas Tree Concert.
The Children's Choir will present one musical each year, periodically sing in the Worship Services, and will be featured in the annual Living Christmas Tree Concert.
The Pre-School Choir periodically sing in the Worship Services.
The Adult Handbell Choir periodically plays in each Worship Service and provides for special occasions in our community.
