First Presbyterian Church offers two regular Sunday worship services: 8:45 and 11 a.m.
8:45 AM Service This service, held in Fellowship Hall (basement of main building), has a more casual feel than the 11 a.m. service held in the sanctuary. In the summer (Memorial Day to about Labor Day) this service is moved outdoors to the children's playground at the west end of the Christian Education building. A family choir sings at this service and children are encouraged to join their parents in song.

11:00 AM Service This service is held in the sanctuary. It is a classic Presbyterian service and features the 40-member Chancel Choir, accompanied by music from the largest pipe organ in the state. This service includes a children's time (usually a story) and often features the children's or youth choir. Infant care and Sunday School are available for this service.

OUR MUSIC MINISTRY
Chancel Choir
The Chancel Choir provides leadership for the 11 a.m. service, and is open to all who enjoy rigorous rehearsal of a wide variety of music. Its repertoire ranges from music of the Renaissance up to contemporary settings and spirituals. Two major works per year are performed in addition to all the regular service music.
Family Choir
The Family Choir is the choir for the 8:45 a.m. service. The music provided by this group tends to be of a contemporary vein.
Whitechapel Bell Choir
This choir is comprised of bell ringers that offer their gifts in worship periodically throughout the year during each of the two services.
Children's Choirs
Share their gifts in our services periodically.
History of our Moller Organ
FPC's organ, the largest church pipe organ in New Mexico, has over three thousand pipes.
A new rank of pipes—an oboe stop, quite similar to a set of pipes from the old First Presbyterian organ—was added to the swell division of the organ, and an adjustable organ bench was added to the console of the instrument. The project was completed in February 2005 by John Grunow of J. Grunow Organbuilders of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Our organ remains one of the largest in New Mexico and is the only four manual pipe organ in the state. The replacement cost of the instrument is estimated to be well over one million dollars.
