Saint Helena Roman Catholic Church - Edison, NJ
The St. Helena Family Choir began in August of 1999. It was the dream of several families to bring the beauty and sound of a large choir to our Church. The choir has also been complemented over the years by some of its members who play musical instruments and accompany the Choir for appropriate hymns. These instruments have included, Piano, Organ, Guitar, Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass Guitar, and Flute.

The choir also sings "a cappella" (without musical accompaniment).
Music selection is inspired and based on the Readings and Gospel for the Mass. The Family Choir is partitioned into four general voices - Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Bass. These voices generally sing anything from "unison" to four-part harmony. Soloists are encouraged for certain passages of the music and the choir is taught to sound like
one unified voice.
