FBC has a rich tradition of faith and service in the Independence area, and continues to develop an approach to ministry that will enable the young and old to grow in faith, and live their lives with a sense of God’s power and purpose.

The music ministry of the First Baptist Church exists for several reasons:

1) to bring glory and praise to God;
2) to provide meaningful and excellent contributions to the congregation’s corporate worship experiences;
3) to help singers and instrumentalists grow musically and spiritually;
4) to provide participants with an excellent opportunity of service and ministry in the local body of Christ;
5) to provide smaller group “family” settings for sharing, caring, ministering, and growth.

We invite you to come and worship with us; we offer two services on Sunday mornings, a 9:00 a.m. Traditional service, and an 11:00 a.m. Contemporary service. In both services, you will be able to sing songs of praise and commitment to our God and hear messages based upon His Word. We hope to see you here!
