Our building is one of several downtown church buildings occupied in the long history of this congregation dating back to 1837. The exterior of the church is Indiana Bedford limestone.
The sanctuary faces Ninth Street and will comfortably seat 1,000 people. The choir loft will seat about 45 people. The great arch at the front of the sanctuary depicts 26 different forms of the cross.
Music is one of the most common forms of worship named in the Bible. Our goal is to praise the Lord and inspire our congregation with an exciting and challenging repertoire of music.Our Chancel Choir is an adult, mixed ensemble that provides primarily traditional choral literature for the 11:00 a.m. worship service.
Our Agape Singers are an adult ensemble that provides contemporary music for the 8:50 a.m. worship service.
We also have Bell Quartets, Instrumental Ensembles, Accompanists, and our Wesleyan Ringers, an adult handbell group.
The sanctuary also features a Skinner pipe organ.
