"The Mission of Highland Baptist Church is to build relationships with Christ, with one another in Christ and with the world through Christ."
To a world often overwhelmed with heartache, God speaks through His people. His message is simple: You are loved and no matter who you are or what you've done. His mercy covers it all. This must be the message of His music ministry. Everyone age three through senior adult is encouraged to be an active participant in music ministry as a singer in Highland's fully graded choirs. For instrumentalists, our orchestra leads in worship every Sunday. We pray that God will be honored and that worshipers will be encouraged by every note that is sung or played. From God's word we are reminded that "the trumpeters and singers joined in unison, as with one voice, to give praise and thanks to the Lord."
With a passion for praise and the call of God to lead worship, singers and instrumentalists are not just presenting Christ-centered lyrics and melodies, but they are touching lives for eternity through music.
OUR MUSIC MINISTRY
Sanctuary Choir
The choir helps lead in worship through the singing of an anthem each Sunday morning. Additionally, the congregation enjoys choir programs during special seasons of the year.
Orchestra
This wonderful ensemble of volunteer instrumentalists, serves Christ as worship leaders every week. They beautifully accompany all congregational worship music and choral music. They share magnificent orchestrations weekly as well as on special occasions such as the Singing Christmas Tree and their annual concert, An Evening of Instrumental Praise.
Children's Choir
Every child, age 3 through grade 6, is led by adults who love music and love children. The singers learn that Christian music is an expression of praise to a God that deserves their adoration and service. They lead the Highland family in worship several times each year.
If you are looking for a place to belong, a place to grow, and a place that touches lives worldwide, then welcome home to Highland. It’s about more than just church; it’s about being at home.
