          We Believe:

                  The Bible is the inspired Word of God and the integrity of the Holy Scriptures has been divinely protected through the ages;
                  In the Trinity - God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ) and God the Holy Spirit;
                  In the deity of Jesus Christ and his virgin birth;
                  In the forgiveness of sin through the atoning blood of Jesus Christ;
                  That salvation is by grace through faith; and
                  That Jesus Christ will return.

                      The worship services at FBCJ provide spiritual direction, guidance and oversight to the worship life of our church. The Music Ministry plays a vital role in these worship experiences. More than 1100 church members age three through Senior Adults sing, play instruments, ring handbells, and lead choirs and ensembles. Our worship services are televised locally and nationally (See Broadcast Schedule). Special programs such as "Carols by Candlelight," the Easter Music and Drama, the Patriotic Concert and special musical guests serve as bridge events to the Jackson Metropolitan area as well as provide a musical offering of Christ's love to our TV audience in Mississippi and across the United States. These services and special musical events are led by the Music & Worship Staff. Reflections Choir - Senior Adult Choir

          The Children's Music Ministry is open to all children from age 3 to grade 6 and has been created for the sole purpose of leading our children down the pathway of praise. We hope you will give us the opportunity to plant the seeds of music and worship in your child's heart. The only requirement is that you bring your child on Wednesdays. Let's partner together and raise up a generation of worship leaders.

          The important place of instrumental music in worship can be traced back to its beginnings in 1 Chronicles 15. Instruments were used to announce the coming of the ark of the covenant. Since the ark represented the presence of God, these instruments were used to announce the coming of the presence of the Lord. The FBCJ Orchestra is continuing to develop its ministry to dynamically announce God's presence each week in worship.
