Our congregation has been in ministry for over 110 years on the Mississippi gulf coast. We celebrate our past, building on the incredible heritage of those who have been in ministry before us. Today, we are in ministry throughout our community, along the coast, and around the world.

At First United Methodist Church Gulfport, we believe God has called all of us into ministry.

Music ministry at FUMC Gulfport incorporates many people who serve to provide music for worship and other special events. Their service is through the chancel choir, handbell choir (Jubilate’), ensembles, soloists and instrumentalists.

We are committed to strive for excellence in all that we do to glorify God and sincerely hope that our music will be pleasing to Him.

Our Chancel Choir sings in worship each Sunday and other occasions as needed for special services (including Christmas, Holy Week, and Easter, and during our annual Gospel Sing in August). Smaller ensembles are formed to provide additional music for worship and other special events.

Jubilate’, our handbell choir plays in worship about once a month. While ringing 4 octaves of bells, we are always in need of extra players on occasion.

We invite you to join us for worship on Sunday mornings at 9:30 in downtown Gulfport. Our facilities are handicap accessible and we provide nursery care for children 5 years of age and younger.You may worship with us via television on Sunday mornings.
