We are a congregation of the ELCA, located in Brooklyn Park, in the midst of the northwest suburbs of New Hope, Crystal, Maple Grove and Brooklyn Center. We gather every Sunday morning at 9:30 A.M. with a time of fellowship for all following our worship service. Our worship is a blend of traditional and contemporary liturgical settings, including West African and other global music and worship styles.

We strive to be a community of music-loving children and adults who are united by a shared sense of purpose to enhance and support the worship of First Lutheran Church of Crystal.

Chancel Choir
This choir helps lead the 9;30am worship service three Sundays of each month (September through Memorial Day). In addition, they present a Christmas concert on the first Sunday in Advent and celebrate Music Sunday in May. These concerts includes all the music makers at First Lutheran.

Ladies Ensemble
This group sings a wide variety of music - both traditional and contemporary and provide special music at the 9;30am service on the second Sunday of alternate months as well as participate in the annual Christmas concert and Music Sunday.

Men’s Ensemble
This groups also sings a wide variety of music, especially barbershop and southern gospel, and provides special music at the 9;30am service on the second Sunday of alternate months as well as in the annual Christmas concert and Music Sunday.

Cantors, Soloists, and Occasional Ensembles
These individuals provide special music during the offering, Communion distribution, or lead psalms and liturgy.

Instrumentalists
Instruments are used to enhance our liturgy at the 9;30am service, provide special music and accompaniment to the choir, ensembles, or hymns on an ad-hoc basis - either solo or as part of an ensemble.

Joyful Ringers
Our adult handbell choir who enjoy "ringing" along with the choir and congregational hymn-singing, in addition to sharing handbell anthems in worship. They also participate in our Christmas concert and Music Sunday.

Alleluia Ringers
The Alleluia Ringers is the newest group in our music family and is comprised of youth in grades 3 through 6. The Alleluia Ringers play hand chimes as accompaniment to hymns and anthems, in addition to sharing hand chime anthems during worship. They also participate in our Christmas concert and Music Sunday.
