Central Woodward Christian Church - Troy, Michigan

We are a congregation of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), which has been worshiping at the corner of Big Beaver at Adams in Troy, Michigan for more than 30 years.

Our worship combines elements that are traditional and contemporary. Standing at the center of our worship is the Lord's Supper, which we celebrate each Sunday. There is nursery care and children's programming during the service.

Central Woodward Christian Church gathers each Sunday at 10:30 for worship. CWCC has been known for a worship style that features its organ and choir. That traditional feel remains, but it is evolving to include more contemporary elements. Worship in the Disciples tradition centers on the Lord's Table, which is celebrated each Sunday.

On a more occasional basis, the congregation gathers in a more informal setting, for Vespers. Verspers generally happen in the summer on a Sunday Evening. Jesus welcomed any and all who would come to him. As his followers we seek to throw open the doors and invite all who would come. Our creed is simple -- we confess faith in the God revealed to us and embodied in the person of Jesus Christ. We seek to welcome all who would come, no matter their age, ethnicity, theology, or sexual orientation.
