Vineyard is a church that blends the vibrant faith of the historic Christian creeds with a sympathetic approach to contemporary culture. Worship style is informal, with music in the pop-rock (with a dash of gospel) style. Dress is casual.

Combined average attendance at the weekend celebrations is over 650. About half of our newcomers are adults under the age of 34, though we've got some wonderful grandparents as well. Children’s Ministry is available at all services for nursery through fifth grade in age appropriate classes. Youth Ministry is also available at all celebrations.

At Ann Arbor Vineyard we don’t believe in the sacred secular divide that so often accompanies what one might call a traditionally churched mindset. The great hymn ‘A mighty fortress is our God’, was after all set to a bar tune. We concur with Duke Elllington on the matter; for it was he who said: there are only two types of music, ‘good and bad’, If there is a creator God, then it follows that the very idea of music comes from Him, and that He gave us the ability to make music for Him, for ourselves, and for others to enjoy. Music is used as part of our intimate relationship with Him: during our corporate worship times, when we are home alone, driving in our car, or humming in our hearts. he worship team facilitates worship for the weekend celebrations.

Our band leads worship in a pop-rock-gospel style, including songs by artist like Chris Tomlin, Delirous and Matt Redman, as well as classic songs. Opening worship is followed by a few brief announcements highlighting upcoming events. Then one of our pastors shares a message from the Bible that's not only easy to understand but practical as well. The messages are accompanied by visual images projected on a large screen up front, including the text under consideration and images or video clips which help illustrate the ideas. The 70-80 minute service concludes with worship and communion.
