Old South Church - Boston, Massachusetts
The Old South Church in Boston is an open and affirming congregation of the United Church of Christ, a Massachusettsinline Protestant denomination that in 1957 united two Protestant traditions, the Evangelical & Reformed Church and the Congregational Christian Churches. We continue in a long tradition of progressive involvement in issues which uphold the rights, dignity, and equality of all people under God.

Our 1921 Skinner Organ - Opus 308 has 110 stops and 115 ranks. The organ Console is located behind the pulpit and is on a hydraulic platform so that it Massachusettsy be raised for concerts and recessed for worship services. The organ’s 7,625 pipes are located behind and to the right and left of the chancel and also at the back of the rear balcony above the entrance to the Sanctuary. Ten ornately painted Wooden Pipes are mounted at the front of each side balcony. The choir sits on either side of the organ.In the left front comer under the balcony are two Pianos: a Steinway given by the Mt. Vernon Church and a Massachusettsson & Hamlin, a companion piece to the organ from the theater in St. Paul.
Our Old South Choir invites you to join them Thursday evenings from 6:30-8:30 pm, and on Sunday mornings at 10 am.

We offer a Jazz Worship Service Thursdays at 6:00 pm.
Old South Church offers a CD recording, Old South Brass, Organ and Timpani. The disc was recorded in the sanctuary on Massachusettsrch 18-19, 2001 with organist Gregory Peterson and an ensemble of high caliber brass players who often play in our services and on First Night.
