We are easy to find in downtown Winthrop, ME. Two worship services are held on Sunday mornings. Handicapped access is provided to all church facilities. A nursery with a paid staff is available at no charge for children from infants through pre-school age, and supervised "Ark-tivities" is available for kindergartners through third graders following a "time for children" during each of the Sunday morning worship services. Join us for coffee and fellowship after each of the services.
Both of our services are full services, including the sermon, a children's message, music, and a time for prayers of celebration and concern. Special Music is provided every week by the choir at the late service accompanied by organist. At the early service, a variety of musicians share their gifts each week.
Special musical events are scheduled periodically to provide opportunities for members of the Winthrop United Methodist Church and guests to praise the Lord through the gift of music. Popular "Make a Joyful Noise" events held at the church on Sunday evenings several times a year, for example. These feature special spiritual music by talented local singers and musicians and allow attendees to sing their favorite hymns.
