Our Baptist Liberties are our most treasured gift to Christianity and define who we are as Baptists. Without them, we lose our distinctive identity and fail to make our unique contribution to the rest of Global Christianity. "We are a freedom-love people."

We at First Baptist Church believe that music is an important vehicle for giving praise, glory and honor to God, and for sharing the Good News of God’s love for all of God’s creation. People of all ages can find community and expression in a variety of music venues.

OUR MUSIC MINISTRY
Chancel Choir
This group leads in worship almost every Sunday, from mid August through June, and during special seasons such as Advent, Christmas, Easter and Thanksgiving, and for ecumenical events such as Habitat for Humanity Music Fest and other interchurch events.

Silvertones
This group of senior adults repertoire traditional anthems and arrangements of favorite gospel hymns. This group has traveled to neighboring towns, to Presbyterian Manor on several occasions and to our Region Senior Adult retreat at Cross Wind Conference Center in Hesston, KS, to bring joy in sharing the Gospel story through music.

Children and Youth
We have two choirs for children in 3rd through 6th grade. Each choir participates in worship once a month from September through April, and on special occasions throughout the year.

Hand Bell Choir
Celebrations is the name for the exuberant group of youth who make up the hand bell choir open to all youth 7th through 12th grade. They play in worship approximately once a month, September through April. Generations, our adult hand bell group, play in worship once a month.
