At First Presbyterian Church, we welcome each story — understanding that unity is found not in conformity, but in Christ. First Church embraces justice, kindness, and humility as modeled by Jesus and as challenged by the prophets. This is the story we are living together as an inclusive worshipping community in downtown Springfield.

The choir sings during the Sunday worship service and presents musical events throughout the year. These events have often included members of the Illinois Symphony Chorus and Orchestra.

God's gift of music is actively offered in praise and thanksgiving at all of our worship services and includes myriad genres of music, from classical to contemporary, instrumental to vocal, and
meditative to energizing.

 

In its worship, First Presbyterian seeks to be inclusive, to value the individual, to challenge all to dedicate themselves and their lives to God and to seek to live as Jesus lived. We hope you will join us.
