At South Side, every weekend hundreds of people find a place to seek God. Some are at the beginning stages of exploring faith. Others worship in a way that comes from years of faith. Many are somewhere in between. We work hard to be a place of real people, authentic worship, relevant teaching, and safe, fun programming for your kids!
Our worship services are designed to be uplifting and encouraging. they usually last about 60 minutes and consist of singing together, teaching, prayer, an offering and communion.
One unique aspect of our ministry is that we hold services at two locations on Sunday mornings - MacArthur campus and Southwest Campus.
The Worship Ministry at south Side Christian Church includes everything from music and sound, to lighting and video. Our services contain many diverse elements of worship, not just songs and sermons.
Musically, South Side sings a blend of music, but mostly "current" worship music-stylistically speaking. The old favorite hymns are not left out, though sometimes they are brought "up-to-date". From week to week you will experience music being led by a variety of means, from a piano and vocal team to a full band and choir.The main thing about South Side's worship is that god is our focus. We are about living a life of worship in everything we do, not just through the creative arts. We use, to the best of our ability, any outlets possible to worship and glorify god. It's all bout Him and His glory.
