Saint Mark Lutheran Church - Des Plaines, Illinois
St. Mark is an ELCA congregation located in Mount Prospect, Illinois. We offer a variety of worship, fellowship and education opportunities for all ages. After sixty years, it is easy to see the Lord has indeed blessed the St. Mark family. As we look ahead let us follow the example of those who have gone before and continue to be "United in Mission" serving the Lord.
Worship Services
We offer two worship services on Sunday mornings:
8:00 a.m. Worship
Spoken Liturgy with Holy Communion in the Great Room.10:00 a.m. Worship
Holy Communion Liturgy with choirs, ensembles, and a children's sermon. This service is held in the Sanctuary. Childcare is available.

MUSIC
The fifth chapter of Ephesians says, "Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ." Music at St. Mark proclaims the Gospel, teaches the faith, and is a core component of worship.
St. Mark has recently began use of the newly published Evangelical Lutheran Worship. Within this book are ten settings of the Holy Communion Liturgy, over 600 hymns, a Psalter, and Luther's Small Catechism. We are excited to have this resource because it contains the very best examples of historical and contemporary music. This allows us to have just one hymnal in the pew, while providing the variety that keeps worship vibrant, and most importantly, Christ-centered.Visit: stmarkmp.org
