For more than 150 years the First Presbyterian Church of Carbondale has been a presence for good.

In 1852 the first Presbyterian sermon was given in an unfinished log cabin in month-old Carbondale.

In 1854 the First Presbyterian Church of Carbondale was organized.

Between the years of 1856 to 1859 our first church was built.
