Saint Paul's Lutheran Church - Savannah, Georgia

A church rich in history and warm in spirit, St. Paul's welcomes one and all to come and worship with us. St. Paul's is the outgrowth of a mission Sunday School class started in 1884 or 1885 by Mrs. Catherine Bowman, the wife of Dr. W. S. Bowman, Pastor of the Lutheran Church of the Ascension in Savannah.

In 1956, the growth of the church brought up desires for a new building. On Palm Sunday, in 1957, the new sanctuary was dedicated. Six months later, an Aeolian-Skinner organ was installed. This beautiful addition to the church continues to fill the church with joyful music.

OUR MUSIC MINISTRY

Adult Choir
The adult choir today is composed of members of the church as well as students from local colleges and universities. The choir leads the music during every service, the Tri-Church festival, and any other occasion where they are needed.

Children's Choirs
St. Paul's has two choirs for children. The Cherub Choir is for children ages 2 - 5 and the Children's Choir is for children ages 6 - 12. Both choirs perform at several services throughout the year, including Christmas Eve and Easter Sunday.

Handbell Choirs
St. Paul's music ministry also has a handbell choir for children and for adults. The Children's Handbell Choir is composed of elementary aged children. The Adult Handbell Choir members range from high school to Senior citizens and play once a month for both services.

St. Paul's welcomes all who wish to join us for worship. Please, feel free to Contact Us or join us Sunday mornings for worship, Sunday School, and fellowship.
