Worship is central to the spiritual life of Christ Church parishioners. Our sanctuary provides a beautiful worship space in which we celebrate, offer prayers and live out our faith within a community of believers. This parish has a rich liturgical tradition and each of our worship services has it own characteristics.

Our Sunday Worship Services
Sundays we offer three services with the celebration of the Holy Eucharistic as the focal point of each. Our 8:00 a.m. service has a dedicated following of parishioners who enjoy the first version of the priest's sermon. A quiet celebration, the 8:00 a.m. service has no music. The 9:00 a.m. service is often referred to as the 'family service'. This service offers the traditional adult sermon as well as a child-friendly sermon geared for the younger audience. Children are encouraged to participate in communion with their parents if desired. The 11:00 a.m. service is traditional and more formal than our other offerings. This service is referred to as the 'choral Eucharist'. The procession of choir, acolytes, vergers, clergy and other lay leaders sets the tone for this Eucharistic Celebration.

Music in the Episcopal Church has centered historically around choirs and organs, a tradition which continues to the present day.

The Christ Church Choir is a mixed ensemble for singers of high school age and above. It sings a broad range of sacred choral literature, concentrating on the repertoire of the Renaissance, 19th century and modern era most associated with the Anglican tradition of worship. It sings primarily for the Sunday 11:00 a.m. Choral Eucharist.

The Junior Choir is young singers in grades 2-6. Intended as a working liturgical choir, the Junior Choir trains its singers in fundamentals of churchmanship and musicianship.

The St. Francis Choir is our youngest singers, up through the first grade.

The Summer Choir sings for the 10:30 a.m. (summer schedule) service during June, July, and August.

We have an inspiring worship space with a marvelous acoustic for music and a truly distinguished organ (C.B. Fisk Op. 115). The premiere compact disc recording of our Fisk organ, titled “Land of Rest,” has been released by Loft Recordings of Seattle, and is available in the Parish Office.
