Gainesville First Baptist is a loving, affirming church centered on Jesus Christ who provides a revelation of God that is complete and trustworthy. Our mission is that of Christ’s: inclusive of all, redemptive in message, gracious in approach, loving in spirit.

Our services are traditional in nature, yet they are filled with energy and variety to nourish the spirits of all ages. Our outstanding music program, which features various types of songs from classical to contemporary and everything in between, is second to none.

 

 

The music ministry of First Baptist Church has over 440 persons enrolled this year in one of our ten choirs, two vocal ensembles, three handbell choirs and church orchestra (Exaltation!). Our deepest desire is to glorify our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as we surround His throne in worship and praise.

Here at First Baptist Gainesville, an incredible amount of work and love go into making our music program one of the best in the area. There are approximately 450 people who contribute to our program including vocalists, instrumentalists and handbell performers -- 15 groups in all! We have programs for all ages, and a wide variety music selections ranging from classical to contemporary! Our sermons are thought-provoking, uplifting, and motivating in nature. The congregation always leaves the church inspired and filled with song!
