We are a caring community in the heart of downtown St. Petersburg, St. Peter’s Cathedral is a part of The Episcopal Church, which in turn is part of a larger, global community of Anglican Christians. We come from all over the greater St. Petersburg area to worship as one. We find strength in our diversity. We strive to live out our baptismal covenant, serving God, one another, and the world around us.

All our ministries are focused on two common goals. With prayer and God’s guidance as the foundation, our purpose is to offer you something that will transform and empower you to live your life confident that God loves you unconditionally, and ultimately, to help you know Christ and to want to make him known.

Our Music Department
The Music Program at the Cathedral Church of St Peter, St Petersburg is one of the most comprehensive and exciting in the United States. There is some sort of music happening in the Cathedral almost every day, combining instrumentalists, choirs and solo singers in all types of sacred as well as secular music. Since the Fall of 2007, we will be one of only four major churches and cathedrals across the entire nation to sing the daily offices as well as staging one of the most ambitious Arts Program in this country.

Central to this program is the Organ Scholar and Choral Scholars. With the chance to work with every type of musician from the local amateur through to the internationally famous professional, the scholarships at the St. Peter’s Cathedral offer unrivalled opportunities.

In addition to the Choral Scholars and Organ Scholar, the following choral groups are based at the Cathedral: the Choristers & Lay-Clerks, the Cathedral Singers, the Schola Cantorum, the St Petersburg Festival Chorus & Orchestra and the Diocesan Choir of Southwest Florida. We also host the Dagari Jazz Trio, the St Petersburg Festival Orchestra and the professional choir ‘Consortium’ as our “Musicians-in-Residence”.
